VOLUMES at Icebox Project Space, Philadelphia, PA, 2022

VOLUMES uses live sound from a drum set to activate an immersive grid of lights. The system translates sound into a visual language, allowing percussionists to express their ideas 3-dimensionally throughout the room. Participating musicians explore the connection between sound, light, and space through a series of live performances. The installation at Icebox Project Space was the 6th iteration in this ongoing project. For 3 weeks the gallery was transformed into a site-specific audio-visual instrument in which experiments and collaborations with a variety of artists took place.
